Pen Bay Speech & Hearing is a multidisciplinary team of professionals who evaluate, diagnose and treat individuals with communication, balance and swallowing disorders for adults as well as children.

Our team consists of an audiologist and several speech/language pathologists (SLPs), all of whom have advanced degrees in speech, hearing and language.

Pen Bay Speech & Hearing is located at 6 Madelyn Lane, off Route 1 in Rockport, ME in the Pen Bay Professional Building and across from Pen Bay Veterinary Associates.

Gary Friedman, MS, FAAA

We offer the latest technology in hearing aids at an affordable price. Our audiologist, Gary Friedman, has extensive experience in audiometric testing and hearing aid dispensing and videonystagmography (VNG) evaluations.

Audiological services include:

  • Complete hearing assessments and balance testing (VNG) for patients of all ages
  • Prescription hearing aids
  • Earplugs for noise and swimming

Gary Friedman has worked at a variety of Ear, Nose, and Throat practices in New York, North Carolina and Florida. Gary Friedman received his M.S. in Speech and Hearing Science from Washington University Central Institute for the Deaf in St. Louis and his B.A. in Communicative Disorders and Sciences from State University of New York at Buffalo. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology.
