The annual Pen Bay Healthcare fundraising gala is scheduled for Friday, May 1, at Point Lookout in Northport from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. 
The annual Pen Bay Healthcare gala is the organization's largest annual fundraising event. The 2009 event will support the community's increasing need for charitable medical care. The need for charitable care at Pen Bay Healthcare has doubled this year and is expected to remain high for the duration of the economic downturn. PBH is committed to preserving access to care and treating all in our community who need medical care, regardless of their ability to pay for it.

The theme this year is "That's Entertainment," a Hollywood-themed evening full of food, fun, entertainment and dancing. The Tony Boffa Band will be returning, as well as Christian & Kathryn Clayton (National Ballroom Champions) who will appear as the timeless duo Fred & Ginger.
A dance contest with grand prize is being brought back by popular demand and there will also be a singing contest with a grand prize. Guests who want to audition ahead of time can call Cyndi at 594-6705.
A delicious buffet will be served, as well as desserts and coffee. There will be a cash bar. Hollywood attire (old or new) is encouraged but not required—however, there will be a prize for the best outfit. And gala-goers will have a chance to bid on a wide array of goods and services during a silent auction.

Tickets are $75 to attend the gala, or a premiere ticket of $100 that also includes an exclusive dance class with Christian and Kathryn at 5:30 p.m.
