Jennifer Drawbridge, CNM
596-8904
Jennifer Drawbridge has long been interested in women's health issues, first as a writer and then as graduate of the nurse midwife program at Yale University. She graduated from Yale in 1999, receiving an RN and a master's degree, as well as her certification from the American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM). Women's health is her love, and midwifery, with its tradition of respectful care for women and their families and dedication to underserved populations, is the best way to practice in women's health, she says. Before joining the PBMC staff, Jennifer worked for the Family Planning Association of Maine clinics in Rockland, Belfast, Damariscotta and Augusta. She notes that midwifery care is not just about birth. Midwives provide well-woman care, care of women from teens to menopause and beyond, contraception and sexually transmitted infection testing.
