The Day Surgery Unit sees most patients who come to Penobscot Bay Medical Center for surgery, whether as inpatients or outpatients.

Our patients return to the unit after surgery and from the Post Anesthesia Care Unit. The Day Surgery Unit provides pre-admission testing before scheduled surgery and most types of infusion care.
