Incontinence Center
Dr. John Karod in the Incontinence Center offers complete evaluation of male and female incontinence, including office urodynamics laboratory and endocscopy. A comprehensive range of therapy is available, including medical therapy, physical therapy and minimally invasive surgical treatment for all voiding disorders and incontinence.
Urinary Incontinence impacts one in seven women over40 years of age in the U.S., at a cost of more than $13 billion to our society.
In close collaboration with area gynecologists, our urologists use a spectrum of treatment options, from medication and behavior modification to surgery. Our specialized equipment includes a netonus chair, which allows patients to be seated and fully clothed -- even reading their favorite magazine -- during pelvic floor strengthening exercises. Options for minimally invasive treatment include collagen injection performed on an outpatient basis.
