Women's Cancer Support Group

Breast Prosthesis Fitting Clinic
For patients after breast surgery. Monthly, Cancer Care Center, PBMC. Certified Fitting Services for women who have had lumpectomies/mastectomies. Fittings are individualized for purposes of ordering prosthesis and specialized garments. Must call to schedule an appointment. For information call 596-8977. Free except for the cost of products ordered.

Look Good -- Feel Better
For women who are undergoing chemotherapy and/or radiation treatment for cancer. Cancer Care Center, PBMC Rockport. A free public service program, held the second Sunday of every month at 2 p.m. for women cancer patients, sponsored by the  American Cancer Society. A trained cosmetologist provides tips and tools to help you manage skin care during treatment. Registration is required. Lymphedema Treatment Services
For patients with symptoms of lymphedema. Lymphedema Management Clinic at two Rockport locations: PenBay Physicians' Building and Penobscot Bay YMCA. Specialized treatment for lymphedema diagnosed by a physician. Physician's prescription and appointment required. Insurance reimbursable. For information call 593-5500.
