Penobscot Bay Medical Center
Creative Learning and Childcare Center

The Penobscot Bay Medical Center Creative Learning and Childcare Center has been in continuous operation since its onset February 14, 1990. Our purpose is the quality care and education of your most precious gift. When you have a concern, we ask that you let us know right away, and that you speak to the adult most directly involved with your child. Please also feel free to speak with Amy or Kim if you feel we can assist with the matter. We can always improve, and we can do so promptly when you approach us directly.

One of the goals of the Childcare Center is to achieve accreditation awarded by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Accreditation is the highest mark of quality a program can achieve. We are currently in the self-study phase of this process.

MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission is to provide a supportive, nurturing, and safe environment for all children entrusted in our care, through programs that emphasize age-appropriate, skill enhancing learning opportunities.

OUR STAFF

The classroom teaching teams plan and facilitate educationally appropriate daily activities for their classrooms. All of our teachers hold either a Child Development Credential (CDA) or a post-secondary degree. All staff also complete in-service training annually on topics pertaining to early childhood care and education.
