PBMC Celebrates Marie Hall's 40th Year in Nutritional Services

Jeff Space, director of PBMC Nutritional Services, recently honored Marie Hall of Bremen, one of the two Diet Supervisors at PBMC, with an ice cream cake and flowers to celebrate her 40 years with the local healthcare system.

The Nutritional Services staff gathered to say – actually, shout – "We love you!" to Marie Hall, and to partake of peach crisp and ice cream cake.
In 1969, Marie Hall joined the staff of the Knox County General Hospital. In 1975, she made the move to the new Penobscot Bay Medical Center.
On March 26, the Nutritional Services staff celebrated her 40th year with the local healthcare system.
"You have seen so much change and the evolution of the dietary system and healthcare system," said Jeff Space, director, PBMC Nutritional Services. "I congratulate you on 40 years' service. You have been a cornerstone here in this organization. Words can't really express – a heartfelt thank you for all your hard work."
Then the staff shouted, "We love you!"
Marie, who lives in Bremen, said that she what she enjoys most is talking with people: "I take meal orders from patients and I help with the special diets – wheat/gluten-free, vegetarian, low-fat."
Asked about her favorite Pen Bay Café dish, Marie said she particularly likes the fish chowder, served on Fridays.
