Health Matters With Kno-Wal-Lin Flu Shots: What You Should Know
Kno-Wal-Lin Home Care & Hospice will present "Flu Shots: What You Should Know" on Wednesday, October 9 from 11 a.m.-noon at the Picker Family Resource Center.
Kno-Wal-Lin director of nursing, Beth Place, RN, BSN, will share the latest information about the influenza vaccine and address the common questions, concerns and myths around taking flu shots. The program will be followed by a flu shot clinic, open to all, from noon-2 p.m. Medicare will cover the cost of flu shots (Medicare card must be presented), otherwise the cost for the general public is $30 (cash or check only).
The program is part of the ongoing series, Health Matters with Kno-Wal-Lin, in collaboration with the Picker Family Resource Center, to explore the ways in which home health and community services can promote one's best health and well-being at home.
Talks take place every 2nd Wednesday of the month at the Picker Family Resource Center on the Pen Bay Medical Center campus, 6 Glen Cove Drive, Suite 200. Programs are free and are open to all ages, but space is limited. Please call 596-8950 to register.
