The Legacy Society - Planned Giving at Pen Bay

Founded by the Pen Bay Healthcare Foundation in 1993, The Legacy Society recognizes those who are deeply committed to the mission of one or more of the partner organizations of Pen Bay Healthcare: Pen Bay Medical Center, The Knox Center for Long-term Care, Kno-Wal-Lin Home Health Care and Hospice and the Anderson Inn at Quarry Hill.

Pen Bay Healthcare Legacy Society members have included Pen Bay Healthcare in their estate plans by using one or more charitable gift planning options, such as:

• A Bequest using a will or codicil;
• A Gift Annuity with Pen Bay Healthcare, which pays a lifetime income to a donor or donors now or in the future (“Deferred Gift Annuity”) in exchange for a minimum gift of cash or marketable securities of $10,000;
• A Charitable Trust, naming Pen Bay Healthcare or one of its organizational partners as one of the beneficiaries;
• A gift of real estate, or collectibles such as coins, antiques, art or other valuable resources;
• A gift from an IRA or other retirement plan, naming Pen Bay Healthcare Foundation as a beneficiary.
• Life Insurance can provide for a generous legacy in the future

The Legacy Society recognizes and thanks those who have made provisions for Pen Bay Healthcare in their estate plans. These gifts are a cornerstone of the Foundation's future endowment growth to support the mission of Pen Bay Healthcare. All are welcome to join the Legacy Society. There is no minimum or maximum gift amount required—the Foundation is thankful for all estate gifts, whatever their size. Membership in the Legacy Society involves no dues or obligations of any kind, other than to notify the Foundation that you have included Pen Bay Healthcare in your plans.
