Quarry Hill to Offer Introduction to Reiki

Quarry Hill will offer an introduction to Reiki, specifically geared toward adults age 55 and better, on Thursday, Sept. 25, from 10 a.m. to noon, at the retirement community's Anderson Inn in Camden.

Part of Quarry Hill's Exploring Complementary Healthcare for Seniors series, the program will include a presentation by local certified Reiki practitioners as well as an opportunity to experience a free mini Reiki treatment.

Reiki, meaning "universal life force" in Japanese, is a century-old complementary care modality most commonly facilitated by light touch. It has been found effective for promoting relaxation; reducing stress; encouraging the balancing of mind, body, and spirit; and strengthening the body's ability to heal itself.

The program is free, but registration is required. To sign up, please call Quarry Hill at 230-6114.
