Quarry Hill to Mark Sixth Birthday with Retro Bash

Dust off those saddle shoes! It's almost time to rock on over to Quarry Hill for a free, '50s-style party, to be held on Saturday, June 7, from 2 to 4 p.m., at the Anderson Inn at Quarry Hill in Camden. All are invited to the event, which will mark the retirement community's sixth anniversary.

Plans call for an improvised outdoor soda shop designed to evoke the days of poodle skirts, convertibles, and bobby socks. Quarry Hill staffers will dish up hamburgers, fries, and root beer floats as well-known Camden crooner David Dodson performs jukebox oldies.

In addition, every half hour, visitors will have opportunities to tour Quarry Hill residences and enter drawings for a variety of special gifts.

Admission is free. In case of rain, the festivities will take place indoors at the Anderson Inn.
