volunteers honored in Augusta

 Volunteers with Gov. Baldacci

Seven PBMC Volunteers have been named to Maine's Roll of Honor for contributing more than 500 hours of volunteer service during the period of Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2007. Governor John Baldacci and the Maine Commission for Community Service hosted the 2008 Governor's Service Awards on April 28 at the Maine State Museum Atrium in Augusta.

 Among the 410 Maine Volunteers recognized for their efforts were the following seven PBMC Volunteers: In-hospital volunteers Margaret Carpenter and Letty Linscott, both of Rockland; Pen Bay Stitchers Alice Farnham of Amity, Annette Schmiz of Warren, Ruth Soule of Union, Eunice Stadler of South Thomaston and Blanche Widdecomb of Rockland.

Said Judi Trenholm, Director of Volunteers and Gift Shop at PenobscotBay Medical Center: "Congratulations to our Roll of Honor volunteers and to all our PBMC and PBH volunteers who contribute in so many ways each and every day."
