Dance exhibition wows audience at Knox Center

Swing and Sway Dancing students Robert Rosen and Hillary Waterman wowed a crowd of patients, staff and visitors at the Knox Center for Long Term Care March 17, performing the waltz, foxtrot, swing, and other popular dances. Patients were moved almost to tears by their own memories as well as the graceful exhibition before them.

"They were wonderful. You don't see that type of dancing anymore!" said patient Dorothy Rogers.

Before each number, Rosen and Waterman shared the name of the dance, as well as a little bit of background about the dance or the cultural area from which it came.  It was evident in watching their presentation that the performers were having at least as good a time as their audience. The couple has been dancing at Swing and Sway for two and a half years, and enjoy attending competitions with their teachers and the owners of Swing and Sway Dancing, Kathryn and Christian Clayton.
