Kno-Wal-Lin Director Appointed to
National Association Committee
Donna DeBlois, Executive Director, Kno-Wal-Lin Home Care and Hospice, has been appointed to serve on the National Association for Home Care (NAHC) and Hospice Regulatory Affairs Committee as well as the 2008 Advisory Board of the Hospital Home Care Association of America (HHCAA).
"This is a significant opportunity for a rural Midcoast agency to have an influence on national regulatory policy, and to sit at the table with national home care and hospice leaders, including many from the largest home care and hospice agencies in the country," said DeBlois.
The NAHC is the nation's largest trade association representing the interests and concerns of home care agencies, hospices and home care aide organizations. The Regulatory Affairs division is responsible for keeping abreast of current federal regulations and government policies that affect an agency's day-to-day operations as well as its long-term business planning. The HHCAA Board, an affiliate of the National Association for Home Care and Hospice, is specifically charged with promoting quality improvement through model programs that reflect cooperative care planning and clinical partnerships between hospital and home care providers.
As a member of the Pen Bay Healthcare family, Kno-Wal-Lin follows these principles by sharing electronic medical records, protocols and educational opportunities throughout the system.
