The Mobile Crisis Team at MCMHC provides assessment, intervention and support for people of all ages experiencing a mental health or substance abuse related crisis. Mobile Crisis services are available 24-hours a day, 365 days a year. We have offices in Rockland and Belfast and provide crisis support and assessment via telephone and in person.
The Mobile Team is available to see people in a variety of settings based on safety and best clinical care. This may include a hospital emergency room, an individual’s home, a school or work setting, or a law enforcement facility. Our Mobile Team also provides the clinical care for our adult Crisis Stabilization Unit. We also provide Crisis Resolution Services support for up to 14 days for adults and 30 days for children.
The Adult Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) is a short-term, two-bed adult program operating 24-hours a day, 365 days a year. The CSU is designed to support individuals experiencing an acute crisis as they reintegrate into their community without the use of hospitalization.
MCMHC's staff of trained CSU clinicians work with people on solution-focused goals in order to improve functions of daily living and to build effective coping strategies.
The CSU focuses on client-centered treatment based on the individual’s identified immediate needs. The CSU values a team approach and works cooperatively with the individual, their natural supports and outside providers. Our clinical team includes crisis clinicians, MHRT certified direct care staff, psychiatric nurses and consulting psychiatrists.
