Kno-Wal-Lin’s Sherry Quimby Honored at Blaine House

Sherry Quimby, CNA, of Waldoboro (at right in photo), was awarded the 2008 Excellence in Long Term Care Award at the Blaine House in Augusta on Sept. 24. Quimby, a Kno-Wal-Lin Home Health Aide, was recognized for providing extraordinary care, attention to consumer rights and leadership among her peers by the Maine Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program.

Quimby was accompanied to the tea and ceremony at the Blaine House by Kno-Wal-Lin Help At Home Director, Marcia Wyman of Friendship. Wyman nominated this nine-year employee of Kno-Wal-Lin because of the special contribution she has made through her work in providing direct care.

"Sherry is a dependable, honest and caring breath of fresh air," said Wyman.
