Children will learn about newborns and how to interact with them. Some safety lessons will be shared along with a discussion of their new role as big brothers and big sisters. Class meets on Saturdays from 9:30 a.m – 11 a.m or Wednesdays from 3:30 – 5 p.m. in the Birth Center.

Have an opportunity to get your questions answered , and how to get off to a good start, learn about coping with breastfeeding and returning to work in this one-night class. Classes meet in the Physicians Building, Conference Room D and are held monthly on the 1st Thursday from 6:30-8:30 p.m.  March class meets on 2nd Thursday. Registration is $17 (includes partner)

AARP Driver Safety Program

Drivers age 50 and over are invited to attend a half-day AARP Driver Safety Course. Maine drivers age 55 years or older who successfully complete the course qualify for a three-year, state-mandated discount on their auto-insurance premiums.

Mothers and their companions learn techniques for safe and satisfying birthing through guided imagery, visualization and special breathing. A tour of the Birth Center is included.

Hynobirthing classes meet once a week on Wednesday evenings for six weeks in the Pen Bay Physicians Building, Hitchings Conference Room (C).

Dates are: Oct 8, 15, 22 and 29 and Nov 5, 12 and 19.
