Is Living With Pain Getting You Down?

Interested in learning more about how to live with constant pain or care for someone who has long-term pain? Register for the free “Chronic Pain Workshop” a six-week program for adults of all ages that meets on Tuesdays from 1-3:30 p.m. beginning on June 3. Class dates are June 3, 10, 17 and 24; July 1 and 8.
The workshop will help participants better cope with chronic pain and feel more in control and cover topics such as:
- how healthy eating can make a difference
- how to balance activity and rest
- how to improve problem solving skills
- how to work with healthcare providers to expand your skill to manage chronic pain
The program is co-sponsored by the Picker Family Resource Center and Spectrum Generations and will be led by Picker Center co-directors Wendelanne Augunas, LCPC, and Linda Zeigler, RN. Suggested donation for the series is $20. Scholarships are available. Call 596-8950 to register or for more information.
The Picker Family Resource Center promotes building community by providing health resources and support that serve the needs of women and their families throughout their lives. The Center’s hours are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
